Travis Davison is a BJJ Brown Belt under Matt Thornton and SBGi Director for Midwest and Mountain States. With no background in traditional martial arts, he discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through countless rewinds and slow-motion replays of Royce Gracie and the early UFC. Finally, he found the Portland SBGi gym – a gateway to a new world. Travis’ teaching is grounded in the I-Method and Aliveness. He competes internationally in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling, constantly testing and refining the training methods of SBGi. He received a bronze medal in the Men’s No-Gi Advanced Division and Men’s Brown Belt Division at Grapplers Quest in Las Vegas
in 2008.

Travis recently moved to Kalispell, Montana and runs his own gym. He regularly trains and coaches mixed martial artists and grappling competitors. The SBG-Montana Competition Team current record is 8-2 for 2008.
